1908 Battle Order Web Set. 2nd Pattern. by Kay Canvas

From £311.92 £259.92

1908 battle order webbing set 2nd pattern set ( Medium sized)

  • Medium size belt 54" long to fit waist up to 44"
  • Medium  Shoulder to suit height upto 5 ft 10"
  • Don't forget to allow for it to go over the tunic so ensure this length is suitable

This was worn by the British Army and British Empire soldiers from the winter of 1914 until replaced by 1937 webbing. The difference from the original 1st pattern set is that in October 1914 when soldiers were starting to dig trenches and they stepped up to a fire position on the parapit the left ammo pouch was rubbing on the wood of the trench and coming open with the bullets being lost in the mud below, so a modification was made to stop the pouches opening and is known as the 2nd pattern.

The set consists of all the items listed below under the "Pack Contains" heading, here you are able to select any sizes if applicable. The image is indicative of the pack but please refer to the Pack Contains for the items included.

The Bayonet and accessories are NOT included and will need to be purchased separately.

After much research we now offer a new range of 1908 webbing which is a close match to the original set which was issued in WW1 and is of museum quality.

To ensure a high standard of colour on our webbing set we colour matched against some original 1908 webbing to get as close to the original as we could. The brass fittings on our webbing sets are die stamped and the press studs have the same pattern as an original WW1 set would have had.
