1908 Marching Order Webbing Set by Kay Canvas 

  • Medium size belt 54" long to fit waist up to 44" 
  • Medium  Shoulder to suit height upto 5 ft 10"
  • Don't forget to allow for it to go over the tunic so ensure this length is suitable

This Marching Order webbing set layout would have been worn when they landed in France and needed to march to there next billet or when in the rear safe area on RnR (Rest and Recuperation). The marching order layout would have carried all the solider's kit they owned whilst in France. 

The set consists of all the items listed below under the "Pack Contains" heading, here you are able to select any sizes if applicable. The image is indicative of the pack but please refer to the Pack Contains for the items included.

    In the large pack they would have carried Spare clothes and their Blanket.

    In the Small Pack they would have carried; Rations, KFS Knife Fork and Spoon set, sewing kit, socks. 

    The ammunition pouches would have held 30 x clips, each clip consisting of 5 rounds of .303 (Bullets)

    The entrenching tool pouch carried the entrenching tool head.

    The water bottle carrier would hold the MKVI water bottle.

    The bayonet frog would be connected to the helve carrier and hold both the bayonet and the helve (entrenching tool handle).

    The British Soldier would reduce this set to the Fighting Order Layout which would have been worn in the trenches when on duty ready to fight or if going over the top on an advance.
