1937-42 Basic British Soldier Uniform Set

From 1937 to around 1942 all British soldiers was issued with this uniform set which he would have worn on and off duty in the UK and in Europe. The 1937 battle dress suit and FS cap was very smart looking with the pleated pockets and hidden brass buttons but was replaced for economy by the 1940 model and GS cap as they were simpler and quicker to make.
This set contains the minimum amount of uniform for you to portray a British soldier from 1937 to 1942 The BD suit was worn with belt and cap as no British soldier could be seen without these unless he was in the Cookhouse or jail. The 1937 battledress continued to be seen worn until 1945 as stock wore out.
Boots will be required for this set either DMS or ammo boots and it recommended to wear a pair of braces on the trousers
