1942-45 British Soldier Basic Uniform Set

This set contains the minimum amount of uniform for you to portray a British soldier from 1942 to 1945 The BattleDress suit was worn with belt and cap as no British soldier could be seen without these unless he was in the Cookhouse or jail. The GS (General Service) cap was made of the same wool as the BD jacket as was worn by all soldiers not issued a coloured beret, ie Paras, Commandos and tanks. The tunic has flat pockets and exposed plastic buttons.
From 1942 to the end of WW2 British soldiers was issued this uniform set which he would have worn on and off duty in the UK and in Europe. The 1937 battle dress and FS cap was replaced for economy reasons by the 1940 model and GS cap as they were simpler and quicker to make.
Boots will be required for this set either DMS or ammo boots and it recommended to wear a pair of braces.
