Designed originally in the late 1960's and to be issued to British Special Forces, they gained a good reputation and these quickly became very popular items to acquire for Infantry Soldiers.
The Twin ammo pouch was made to fit the 20rd 5.56mm M16 Armalite Rifle magazines, each pouch has 2 pockets with each pocket carrying 2 magazines making a total of 4 magazines per pouch. The pouch was made of the standard Green 1958 webbing and features a metal QR Buckle ,twin belt loops to allow pouch to be carried in the lower slung postion and a waterproof lining.
