95th Rifles Richard Sharpe's Shako

This is the model of shako that Richard Sharpe wore in the TV series when he was promoted to an Officer and differs from a Enlisted man’s Shako,

Issued around the 1800 following the design of the French shako, it was often called a stove pipe due it tall black appearance shako features a leather peak Shako is cover in Rifle green wool and a rifle green plume / feathers in the front with a silver bugle worn by all rifle regiments is mounted on the front and a Rifle green cap cord is hung across the front
