This is the wide brim hot weather hat introduced during the Vietnam war, the design was that good it has not really changed.

This hat is made in cotton with a rip-stop weave, it has a 5.5cm wide brim and a 2cm webbing loop band running around the crown which allows for foliage to be added for camouflage.
