Brass round eagle badge to fit onto the front of the shoulder strap of the M1855 cartridge box pouch.
The brass eagle badge is lead lined and was worn at the beginning of the American Civil War by the Federal northern soldiers.
The brass badge has two brass loops on the back and a brass split pin.
To fit the badge onto your M1855 cartridge box shoulder strap you will need to make two small cuts in the leather for the brass loops on the back of the badge to fit through then push the split pin through the two bras loops to secure the badge in place.
