Band of Brothers Film Prop Rubber American Para Helmet Named to Francis

American paratrooper rubber stunts helmet film prop from the TV series "Band of Brothers".

This American helmet was specially made for the TV series "Band of Brothers" and was used as a lightweight helmet so they where more comfortable to wear when doing an action scene and safer when the stunt team used them.

The helmet was molded from an original helmet and then rubber mix was poured into the mold to form the helmet into a hard rubber compound which at the time this was a new process, previously they would have been made from fiber glass which easily cracks. These helmets are a lot more durable as they flex but are still very sturdy. The shells are about as thick as a real helmet and a post war liner is fitted inside.

This rubber helmet was used by the stunt team.

This helmet has the full paratrooper helmet look with fitted A frames (some marking on the metal buckle), D bales and a paratrooper canvas chinstrap.The paratrooper leather chincup is missing but you could fit replicas in very easily.

The rubber paratrooper helmet has

• Early D bales and canvas paratrooper chinstrap.
• Cotton A frame strap fixed into the liner.
• Plastic post war liner.
• Marked "Caris Francis" on the inside.
• Leather liner chinstrap.
• Does not Include the leather chinstrap with the chincup that fits onto the A frames.
