British 7th (Light Infantry) Parachute battalion 6th Airborne division badge set

This badge set is what British Paratroopers of the 7th ( LI) Battalion which was selected and retrained from the Light Infantry in 1942 and  would have worn on their Battle Dress clothing when based in UK and on combat operations.

It was worn by Paratroopers during 

• Operation Overlord invasion of Europe Normandy June 6th 1944 
• Battle of the Bulge december 1944
• Operation Varisty(Crossing of the Rhine ) march 1945

This set contains the following woven badges: 

• 2 x Green slip ons
• 2 x Parachute regiment shoulder titles  
• 2 x Pegasus patches
• 2 x Airborne strips 
• 1 x Parachute qualified wings( worn on the upper right arm)
