- Aged off white colour to look old
- stitched together in 2 sections
- 2 ties to attach to lance

The British met the Polish lancers in the Peninsular and Waterloo campaigns and were impressed by the extended reach that the lances afforded. The British first converted some light cavalry to lancers in 1816 -- also with red-over-white pennons or Pennants which were being used during the Boer war, WW1 and still in use today with the remaining lancer regiments.
