British Desert Rats Khaki Drill uniform
This is the Uniform that Officers and Other Ranks serving with the Desert Rats in North Africa from 1941 to 1943 would have worn when normally not on patrol or sentry duty, like when behind the lines at company Headquarters or relaxing in one of Cairo many bars. KD's were also used in Italy and Greece. The KD FS cap was not official to British Army Soldiers but a normal brown wool one. Some soldiers choose to buy their own from the tailors in the Bazaars of Alexandria.
The Uniform can be built up to an Officers with KD Rank slides and a Cap badge or their rank with stripes and a cap badge. You could also add webbing and ammo boots to make a combat soldier who would have served in Tobruk and Battle of EL Alamein.
