MKVII Original British MK7 Gas Mask Bag with canvas shoulder strap

.Original WW2 Gas Mask bag for the MKV service respirator with canvas shoulder strap 

These bags were issued in WW2 to all service personnel in the Army, Airforce, Navy plus The Police and ARP. They make a great period bag for reenactors to keep cameras, phones etc in. The MKVII gas mask with the shoulder strap replaced with a leather one is the original indiana Jones bag used in the popular films.

Ink stamped inside top flap  with Maker, date 1942 and model MKVII but they might be printed lightly/ faded and unreadable

• Overall bag size: 10” x 10” x 3” inches
• The main compartment is split into 2 sections
• 2 flat rear internal pockets 4” x 10” and 5” x 10”
• 1 flat front internal pocket 8” x 8”
• Canvas adjustable shoulder strap 44” long approx (110cms) 
• 2 brass mesh vents on base
• Top flap fastened by 2 large brass press studs

The bags are all unissued but 80 years old and will have some storage marks, they came from a large shipment we managed to purchase in 2005 and are the last you will see.

Please note as these are originals the stamping with vary and so will colours/shades and the makers name/ date.
