    This badge set is what British Glider Troops would have worn on their Battle Dress clothing when based in UK and on combat operations.

    • British 6th Airborne Division during Operation Overlord invasion of Europe Normandy June 6th 1944 

    This Badge set would have been worn by all soldiers in the 2nd Oxs and Bucks Regiment on their BD Battle Dress uniform in Operation Overlord the Invasion of Normandy as part of the 6th Airlanding Brigade who landed in Horsa Gliders on the morning of 6th June 1944, Landed byPegasus canal bridgeand  commanded by Major Howard they took and held it till relived by Lovats  commandos latter that day.

    He was a member of the 6th Airlanding Brigade which was part of the 6th Airborne Divisions and so wears the Pegasus and Airborne Tab on both upper Arms with his Regimental shoulder titles Oxs & Bucks above these.

    His Glider qualification badge would have been sewn on his lower left sleeve , plus he would have also worn another one on his Denison Smock.
