68th Tank Batallion T-Shirt White PT Tee shirt from the PX

A stand out graphic tee shirt from one of the US Army Tank battalion units in WW2.

In the 1940’s the US military where one of the first to put graphic designs on tee shirts and some of them like this one make great looking design even now 70 odd years later!

The 68th Tank Battalion tee shirt is printed with the correct 1940 “Flock” print for that real 1940’s feel and look.

The design features a comic style turtle with tankers helmet, goggles and boxer gloves standing in a boxers stance waiting the bell to ring!

Below are the fighting turtle is the place where they trained for war “Fort Knox Kentucky”.

The original military 1940’s tee shirts where printed with a “flock” (Velvo) print and not like modern flat ink used on tee shirts nowadays. The flocked print gives a more textured feel and, velour, look to the tee shirt design which gives an extra quality touch to the tee shirts. This flock print was also used in America on the likes of the college football tee shirts and other training white tee shirts like baseball teams wore etc.
