The Colt .45 cowboy gun has several names, the most common refer to the barrel length (7 1/2" barrel is called the Cavalry model, the 5 1/2" barrel is called the Artillery and the 4.75" barrel is called the quick draw).
This is the classic colt pistol as seen in almost every western film. The white grips have an eagle design on them to make this six shooter look impressive.
The SAA (Single Action Army) was designed for the US Government trails of 1873 by Colts Patent Firearms Manufacturing Company and it was adopted by the Army and saw service until 1892. The 71/2" barrel was issued to the Cavalry as it gave better accuracy than the shorter barrel Colt's, although the Cavalryman was issued a carbine the pistol or revolver was essential when fighting on horse back at close distances.
This Colt Single Action Army replica by Denix features:
- Working action.
- Can be cocked and dry fired.
- Chamber can be opened and replica shells inserted.
- When the hammer is cocked the chamber rotates at the same time
- 7 1/2 inch barrel.
- Black finish with white eagle design grips.
- Made from metal (this is a softer metal than the metal used in actual firearms and would not be strong enough to be fired so it safe and legal).
- Denix code 1109

Replica cowboy six shooter with a 7 1/2 inch barrel and imitation bone handle. The classic "Peacemaker" looks great in your office or den. Ideal for any western fan or will look good as part of a Vietnam Air Cav helicopter uniform.
This is the classic colt pistol as seen in almost every western and Cavalry film including: Fort Apache, Red River, She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (John Wayne is using one), Rio Grande, Joe Kidd (Clint Eastwood is using one), Unforgiven, Tombstone and the TV series Deadwood.
As well as the Colt, the US Cavalry issued several other revolvers including the Schofield Smith and Wesson and the Model 1874 Remington but this Colt Army revolver is the most famous partly due to the enthusiasm of Hollywood film makers to arm the US Cavalry with the Colt Army revolver.
The Single action Colt Army revolver was also know as the Peacemaker, the Frontier, Single Action Army (SAA) '45 and the Equalizer.

The replica guns are sold as props for film, theatre and re-enactment use. We can only ship them to a UK address via courier (excluding the Isle of Man, Isle of Scilly and the Channel Islands which we cannot ship to because of flight restrictions). Sorry we cannot send them outside of the U.K. They are made to look and feel realistic and although they are made from metal, it is not a gun metal and they are designed so they cannot chamber or fire any rounds of ammunition. They are designed for prop use and they have moving parts, although excessive use will wear the parts out, worn out parts are not covered by the warranty and the manufacture does not make or supply spare parts.
Please read the following restrictions. Due to the current British law it is illegal to sell this reproduction firearm to anyone apart from to the following people or organisations;
