The Carlisle first aid dressing, tin was issued to every soldier in WW2 and was normally carried in the M1942 first aid pouch which was connected onto webbing pistol belts, garand belts or BAR belts.

The rubber carlisle dressing is molded from an original first aid tin and is made with solid rubber, these are not simply blocks of rubber they have the text of the original tins on the front and the rubber is coloured green like the original tins, so if your pouch open up it still looks like a real tin
