German Waffen SS M42 wool Tunic by RUM No Badges

£89.99 £74.99

Model 1942 Waffen SS Feldbluse by Richard Underwood Militaria, with shoulder boards but no arm eagle or collar tabs.

The Waffen SS 1942 felbluse was very similar to the heer (army) version, they both shared most of the same improvements or modifications with the main difference being that the Army added an extra button to the front of their tunics in 1941 but for the SS it remained with the original 5 buttons. There are other minor differences to the liner and belt hook support system. Pictured with the side cap and M43 field cap as although the tunic was introduced in 1942 it was seen worn till the end of the war.

The Waffen SS model 1942 felbluse has a plain collar (no dark green collar like the M36) and the four front pockets are now plain, there are no pleats down the front like on earlier pattern felbluse.

This quality replica by Richard Underwood Militaria follows the design of the original SS M42 tunic and has the black SS infantry shoulder boards but no other insignia so it is ready for you to add you own badges on it.

The Richard Underwood SS Model 1942 felbluse has the following details:

  • Plain collar (no green wool covering like on the M36 tunic).
  • Small metal hook and loop closure on collar.
  • 3 buttons on the inside of the collar to attach the collar band, collar band is not included.
  • Plain pockets (no centre pleat down the middle of each pocket like on the 1941 model).
  • Pocket flaps are still shaped like the M36 tunic (later models where cut straight).
  • Lower are bellows but are a simplified designed so the sides are not boxed shaped.
  • Still only a 5 button front closure, in May 26 1941 the army circular HM 41 No. 558 ordered the addition of a sixth button on Army tunics but not in SS tunics.
  • Black shoulder boards with Infantry white piping.
  • The back of the collar is backed with linen cloth and is stitched with a zigzag pattern to strengthen the collar.
  • The sleeve cuffs can be tightened/adjusted by two buttons.
  • Lining is now made from sateen rather than cotton like on the M36.
  • 4 sets of eyelet holes for belt hooks, two sets on the front and two sets on the back. Each set has 2 vertical eyelets.
  • Internally there are 4 strap loops made from the same sateen fabric as the liner with 4 eyelets at the end of each strap which match up to the eyelets on the tunic for the belt hooks.
  • Internal suspenders are no longer used so there are no provisions for them on the inside.
