This Badge set would have been worn a British Glider Pilot Staff Sergeant on his battle dress uniform on both Operation Overlord the Invasion of Normandy and Operation Market Garden at Arhnem.
He would have been a member of the British Airborne Divisions so wears the Pegasus and Airborne Tab on both upper Arms with his Regimental shoulder titles glider Pilot Regiment above these.
His Pilot’s wings would have been sewn above his left pocket, plus he would have also worn another set on his Denison Smock.
His Rank is a Staff Sergeant which was quite normal as they were often Senior Sergeants with many year’s service plus it gave them authority over most NCO's he would have been transporting in case of any arguments.
