WW2 British Home Guard Marching Order Webbing Set
The Marching order includes about all items issued to a Home Guard soldier from 1940 to 1945 and would have been used by platoon members of the HG when on Military Field Exercises to carry all their equipment needed, plus when they are on long patrols guarding an important bridge or railway yard etc.
This soldier would have carried his basic webbing set for ammo and bayonet plus he has his water bottle and strap slung over his shoulder with his waterproof haversack containing his rations and spare clothing over the other. His service respirator is on the front chest in the alert position.
