"This was the incorrect badge that Colour Sgt Bourne is seen to wear on his left shoulder in the Film Zulu". It is correct for the film but wrong for Military accuracy.
These stripes were worn on the British Army Victorian Foreign service tunic as worn by most Infantry regiments in the Anglo Zulu war 1879 including the 24th foot at Islandlawana and Rorke's Drift.
