This is a Riflemans combat webbing set worn by a German Luftwaffe Field Division Soldier in Normandy 1944 who is armed with the German K98 rifle, These Luftwaffe Field division units were thrown together from all different Luftwaffe ground units to hold back the US forces that had just landed in Normandy.
This webbing set allows the German Luftwaffe soldier to carry what he needs to fight on the front line from the bayonet and ammunition for his K98 rifle to his entrenching tool to dig a trench and the bread bag to carry his rations.
