M1 Helmet Steel Shell and Liner
M1 Helmet and liner.
These are post war issue, which have been issued to European armies.
They are the similar to the US M1 helmets. The likes of the Belgium army and Norwegian army used American M1 helmets after WW2 and then when the war time helmets ran out they had more made and eventually made there own M1 helmets which where the similar to the US ones
The shells are the post war European made ones in used condition and have a new replica plastic removable liner which is adjustable in size from 54cm to 60cm.
The metal shell is used and has a either a M44 style chinstrap fitted onto it, the cotton chinstrap is a blue colour or a 1970's US chinstrap which has nylon straps with a cotton chin cup. Chinstraps sent as available in current stock.
Makes a good start to a US helmet, if you want to improve the look you can replace the chinstrap with the earlier sewn on style or add a helmet net.
