M1935 German Army Spade WW2 Straight Handled Entrenching Tool Shovel
M1935 German entrenching tool (spade/shovel).
This is a quality made replica which you can actually use to dig a Fox hole if required
The original 1874 model German entrenching tool know as a " Feldspaten" in the German army and this model was simplified in 1935 to be issued to the Wehrmacht and SS during WW2 until replaced by the folding M1938 model which did not enter service until 1942/43 due to its high cost.
These rigid (non folding) shovels remained in service until the end of the war and where used alongside the later folding shovel due to manufacturing issues with the folding shovel, so they can be used for any impression unless you really want a very late war impression and want all the late war issue items.
Features:
- Wood handle.
- Steel head.
- Head Stamped WA 1939
