Every US soldier in WW2 was issued a First Aid packet (bandage) and it was carried in the 1st aid pouch, The official name for this pouch is "Pouch, First Aid Packet, M1942" it was worn on all the belts including the M36 pistol belts, Garand belts and BAR belts. This is the OD#7 green version which was issued as part of the M1943 webbing.
This was the standard first aid pouch carried by all US troops in WW2.
