M1 Carbine Magazine Pouch Transitional Green by Kay Canvas
American M1944 green and tan magazine pouch for the M1 carbine.
This is part of the improved range of clothing and equipment that was started to be introduced in 1943 when things started to change to the darker OD#7 (green) colour.
This replica is made in the so called transitional green colour when the factories still had some the earlier OD#3 (tan) colour webbing and the newer OD#7 (green) colour so the pouches where made in a mix of the colours giving a nice looking pouch that makes it a nice mid war pouch. By the end of the war the webbing was made completely in the OD#7 green colour.
US M1 Carbine mag pouch to carry 2 x 15rd magazines on the belt or carbine butt stock.
Colour: OD # 7 and OD#3 mixed webbing.

US M1 Carbine mag pouch to carry 2 x 15rd magazines on the belt or carbine butt stock.
Standard Carbine magazine pouch carried by the US Army in WW2.
This is the model with a full belt sleeve and a press stud on the back to fix it onto the matching press stud on the pistol belt. Pouch only, does not include the magazines.
This is the pouch that is often seen worn on the butt stock of the M1 carbine, although it was originally not designed to onto the butt stock by the US Army the troops found that it fitted on and was a good way of carrying extra magazines.
To fit the pouch onto the carbine you have to slide the pouch over the end of the barrel (remove the magazine) and gently work it down the barrel, over the trigger and sight (this is where its a tight fit, just take your time and move the pouch a bit at a time) and keep going until you get to the wood butt stock.
