M40 Grossdeutschland Artillery GD Shoulder Boards by RUM
Field grey shoulder boards with GD embroidered onto them for the German Heer Grossdeutschland Division with the red piping for the Artillery.
These are a mid to late war shoulder board and can be worn on any tunic on the Model 1940 tunic and any tunic model after, like the M42, M43 or M44.
The embroidered "GD" is in the same colour stitching as the piping.
We refer to the shoulder boards as the M40 model or pattern simply as they can be worn with the M40, M42, M43 and the M44 uniforms. They are sometimes referred to as the M43, mid war, late war or just the field grey shoulder boards but we call them the M40.
