M40 Heer Artillery Shoulder Boards Unteroffizier by RUM
Unteroffizier Artillery shoulder boards in the field grey with the mid war silver rank tresse.
Field grey shoulder boards with the red piping for the Artillery units and silver rank tresse for a Unteroffizier.
In 1940 the German Army started to use a subdued tresse lace for the rank, although silver lace was still in use at the end of the war. These shoulder boards are made with the silver tresse lace. We also have these shoulder boards available in the subdued tresse if you want a later war style (see below under related items).
These are worn by the GD on the M40, M42, M43 and M44 wool tunics.
The field green/grey shoulder boards are piped in red with silver tresse.
We refer to the shoulder boards as the M40 model or pattern simply as they can be worn with the M40, M42, M43 and the M44 uniforms. They are sometimes referred to as the M43, mid war, late war or just the field grey shoulder boards but we call them the M40 for ease of identity.
Price is for a pair of wool shoulder boards.
