M40 Artillery Shoulder Boards by RUM
German Heer (Army) Artillery shoulder boards.
Field grey (field green) shoulder boards with the red piping for the Artillery units.
These are worn on the M40, M42, M43 and M44 wool tunics.
The field green/grey shoulder boards are piped in red.
We refer to the shoulder boards as the M40 model or pattern simply as they can be worn with the M40, M42, M43 and the M44 uniforms. They are sometimes referred to as the M43, mid war, late war or just the field grey shoulder boards but we call them the M40 for ease of identity.
