Model 1942 Unlined Riding Gloves US Paratrooper Glove with No Buckle
1942 model paratrooper jump gloves by Kay Canvas.
These where officially called the "Model 1942 Gloves Riding Unlined W11-009-Q.M.-17290".
The 1942 pattern para gloves where replaced the earlier 1939 pattern, the ones with the buckle. The 1942 airborne jump gloves do not have the wrist strap and buckle on the wrist instead they have a 11/2" slit on the side which makes putting them on easier and allows the wrist of the gloves to roll over.
Issued in time for the Normandy D-Day landings.
