Mounted cartridge belt. M1 Garand belt and Colt 45
This is the mounted version of the M1923 Garand cartridge belt.
If you want to carry a Colt 45 pistol with your Garand rifle and have spare magazines for your Colt this is ideal. With the standard Garand belt there is no where to fit a Colt 45 pistol magazine pouch but with the "mounted" belt version there is a place to fit the Colt 45 pistol magazine pouch on the front.
On this belt the front left hand pocket has been removed and a press stud fitted in its place. The press stud matches up to the press stud on the twin Colt 45 magazine pouch so you simple slide the colt magazine pouch on the front and you can carry two spare Colt mags.
It is called the mounted belt as the design was originally intended for Cavalry (mounted) troops.
