Womens Land Army Uniform |
The classic look for a Womens Land Army (WLA) member was for the green V neck jumper to be worn over the tan short sleeve polo shirt along with the Cord Breeches.
Long socks and brown shoes and a brown leather belt finished it off and when not doing manual work a WLA tie as worn.
The WLA jumper could also have be worn over the bib and brace during cold morning out in the Dairy.
Many WLA jumpers were home knitted so there is a lot a various finishes but our one follows the actual issue design as closely as possible with 1/4 inch deep ribbings and a wide V neck, and made by the company that still supplies the British army with its Woolly Pully jumpers.
