Green US Style webbing frog, the button has broken 

Following the Second World War, Norway converted 30,000 Model 1894 bayonets, that had been made under German occupation, for use with the Selvladekarabin (US M1 Carbine). These bayonets were modified in 1956 at Hærens Våpentekniske Korps (Army Weapons Technical Corps). The USA provided 98,267 M1 and M2 Carbines to Norway between 1950 and 1963 under the Military Assistance Program.

 

Original P14  bayonet Home Guard Parade bayonet

This Bayonet was one that the US goverment supplied with the P14 Rifle to Britain during ww2 and mainly use by the Home Guard. It has been chromed for parade use and the wood handles are nicely polished 

The bayonet is stamped date 10 16 , Remmington 1913

WD appoved stamp marks on opposite side  

Handle has 2 grooves cut into the handle to make sure the british Enfield bayonet was not issued as it was a different muzzle ring
