RAF Flight Sergeant Battle of Britain Fighter Pilot

This is an RAF Flight sergeants uniform set that would have been worn by Royal Air Force Pilots of Spitfire's and Hurricane's pilots during the Battle of Britain July to October 1940 and it would also worn by bomber crews in the early years of WW2. The RAF were so short on Officers that they allowed other ranks to train as pilots and they were given the rank of Flight Sergeant, they flew side by side with their fellow RAF Officers.
The RAF Pilot Uniform would have Sergeant stripes, Brass crowns and Eagles on both sleeves plus a set of Pilots wings above the left breast pocket.
