This shirt was the standard design of RAF during World War Two, It was introduced around 1925 and never change design until after 1945.
The shirt featured no pockets as braces were worn so would pass over the pockets and also the trousers are high waisted which would have come up high. The Fabric is a special weave called end on end which means 2 colour treads ( white and Blue) are weaved together to give the correct WW2 look
This type of shirt in this colour/ fabric mix was used in the 1940's by Railway guards, Police Officers and firemen
