Military Police Service Dress Cap with RMP Badge and Red Top

This RMP SD Cap was issued for Official Duties by Royal Military Police and was  designed to stand out and be a mark of respectt for the Military policeman wearing it. The SD Cap was Standard Issue to Other Ranks and made from the same Serge wool as Battle Dress,

It was originally issued pre WW2 to wear with the Service Dress but once Battle Dress was issued then it was mainlyworn for Official Duties by Royal Military Police with the  Cap Red Top.

The Red SD Cap cover is made from red cotton drill just like during WW2 but updated with a adjustable shock  cord around the edge so it can fit any size cap and neatly with little or no alteration.

Military Police cap badge is made of brass with a king's crown and can be polished up.
