Royal Air Force ACME Thunder 23/230 RAF Whistle Aged
The RAF Model 60.5 ACME Thunder 23/230 whistle was issued to all aircrew during the war and was worn in the now classic postion on the collar hook of the Blue SD Tunic or Battle Dress. This was so it could reach the mouth in case they were shot down and needed to attract the attention of the rescue party.
These replica whistles are made in the UK by the same company in Birmingham whom made the originals back during WW2.
Features:
- Cork ball
- Stamped "The ACME Thunder Made in England" on the top.
- On one side stamped "A.M." (Air Ministry) with the World War Two Kings Crown and "23/230"
- On the other side stamped 293/4/L1795
- Small split ring on the back
- Brass which has been Aged
