Classic webbing set used by the British Special Air Service from the 1960's to the 1990’s in Northern Ireland, Falkland’s and the Middle East. Webbing Sets were customised by each soldier, but this represents one of the most common belt rigs seen worn by SAS soldiers during this time.
SAS soldiers of the 22nd SAS regiment would have worn a patrol belt order like this based at the Headquarters, Sterling lines in Herford where they would have trained in the Brecon Beacons. In Operations and Training around the world SAS soldiers would have worn a selection of webbing Including Northern Ireland, West Germany, Middle east, Belize, Iraq, Falklands.

Some of the more well know operations the SAS served in:
- Northern Ireland, Operation Banner (Op Banner) Was the name given to the British Army Operation in Northern Ireland from 1969 to 2007 during the troubles.
- Falklands War, Operation Corporate (Op Corporate) Was the name given to the British Army Operation in the Falkland Isle 1st April 1982 to 2oth June 1982.
- First Gulf War, Operation Desert Storm, (Op Desert Storm) Was the name given to the Military coalition in Southern Iraqi from 1990 to 1991.
This webbing set is based on the SAS Trooper using a 7.62 mm SLR Rifle . He also has 2 water bottles for long range patrols, one is the SAS modified 1958 water bottle pouch and the other the older 1944 water bottle pouch. He also carries his prismatic compass for navigation in an altimeter pouch and his small mess tin with food is carried on the rear in an SAS ration pouch, all worn on a modified rigger style roll pin belt and supported by the unique SAS yoke with wide shoulder pads for extra comfort.
