From £379.93 £316.60
RAF Officers Flight Lieutenants Volunteer Reserve uniform 1939-42
This is the classic RAF Officers uniform that would have been worn by Royal Air Force Pilots of Spitfire's and Hurricane's pilots during the Battle of Britain July to October 1940 and was also worn by ground based Officers on RAF bases on non flying duties.
The Officer is also a Volunteer Reserve which is indicated by the Brass VR's on his Collars meaning he served usually in an Air Training Squadron at university before the war and had Volunteered and not been conscripted.
The RAF Officers Uniform is already badged as a Flight Lieutenant on the cuff and has Pilots wings above the left breast pocket which would have been worn by current pilots in WW2 and retired flying Officers. The top button on the SD tunic could also be left open as this indicates back at the air base that the Officer fly's planes and not desks.
The Officers SD uniform was replaced in 1941 by Battledress for all Air Crew and by 1943 most ground based Officers
The uniform consists of all the items listed below under the "Pack Contains" heading, here you are able to select any sizes if applicable. The image is indicative of the pack but please refer to the Pack Contains for the items included.
