WW2 RAF “Battle of Britain” Period 1933 Pattern Flying Gloves.
An Original and unissued pair of RAF Flying Gloves which are still supple and with storage marks after 80 years, the Left hand thumb has some stitching coming away.
Size 8 1/2 stamped on both leather zipper pullers.
Lighting Brass zippers
Soft brown kid leather
stamped inside.

During WW2 these gloves were very popular and many when missing from the factories so apparently the RAF ordered only left hands from one company and the right from another and only became pairs when they reached RAF stores, and so this is why RAF flying gloves are usually not an exact match even though they were issued together and been pairs for 80 years.
