could be used as a:
- Waterproof ground sheet
- Shelter to keep you dry.
- Cape by buttoning up the front.
There are 8 holes punched along the circumference of the ground sheet, it measures 185cms x 88cms plus extra collar wrap over flap. There are 4 buttons down the front and the centre of the back is slightly hollowed to allow for a small pack to be worn.
Issued to soldiers to keep them dry it was carried on the outside of small pack when not worn. The MKVII cape buttons up the front and has a large collar to keep the water out. You can also make a shelter to keep you dry in the field.
Please note : Some of capes have had the button holes cut very tight so you might have to with a sharp craft knife cut the button hole slighly large between the stiched edging.
