The Territorial Force Efficiency Medal was awarded to NCO's and men for a minimum of 12 years service in the Territorial Force, providing they attended 12 annual Camps between 1908 and 1921 Previous service in other part-time forces including the Volunteer Force could count, while war service counted double.
It could also have been worn by an old soldier who served in WW1 and re-enlisted back in WW2 as the Minimum age of a WW1 veteran in WW2 would have been 35 years.
