This model was the standard issue from stores of the Parachute qualification wings and is typical WW2 design with Horizontal stitching to the lower feathers of wings, which is generally recognised as the best method of wartime Parachute wings.
Worn 2 inches below shoulder title on the right upper arm only.
Soldiers received 3 Parachute wings, 2 for battledress and 1 for the Denison smock.
