Original CD Cromwell "Protector" helmet
The Cromwell protector helmet is a compressed fibreboard helmet made by the Cromwell company that also made motorcycle pulp helmets. It was a private purchase as Steel MK2 helmets were in such short supply to Civil defence after Dunkirk.
Made from 1 piece of black plastic/ fibreboard riveted together with a extra layer on top and a thin sheet of steel lined inside.
Fitted with an original MK2 liner
