MKVI Gas Mask Bag by Kay Canvas
The Mark VI gas mask Bag was issued just in time to be issued to BEF troops departing to France in 1939 and then fought a fighting retreat to Dunkirk May 1940 and remained in service even after the MKVII was issued in late 1941
The MkVI was an improvement on the MKV as it had 2 rear external pouches to carry a pack of Gas Goggles, and both could be access easily.
Inside there was a large pouch for the Gas Brassards to be stored and a small loop in the base for the Anti Dimming kit
The neck strap was no connect by 2 clips and so could be removed or replaced easily if damaged.
Bag features on the right side the distinctive and easily recognisable V stitched panel as this was the only mark of bag that featured this.
