By the middle of the war all soldiers would have blancoed their khaki webbing to Green This was so the webbing could blend in with the natural camouflage of the trees and vegetation of Europe. The soldiers continued to Blanco their webbing when battling north in operation Market Garden at Arhnem and the crossing of the Rhine in Operation Varsity.
