German WW2 Zeltbahn pole bag.
Cotton canvas green bag to fit 3 zeltbahn pole sections and 3 stakes (pegs).
The bag is closed by a flap which has 2 aluminium buttons to close the flap. The 2 leather straps on the side is so it can be attached to the tornister pack or the assault "A" frame.
Issued to all troops (Army, Luftwaffe and waffen SS) as part of the zeltbahn, they where issued a zelthbahn, 3 x pole sections, 3 x stakes (pegs), guy rope and a pole bag.
Length 40cm (15.5 inches).
Width 11cm (4.25 inches).
Colour: Green cotton canvas with brown leather straps.
