NCO Hermann Goring Cuff Title Latin Text By RUM
German WW2 Luftwaffe "Hermann Goring" cuff title in Latin text for an NCO.
This is the second pattern cuff band with "Hermann Goring" embroidered on it in Latin text and the third version if you include the pre war cuff title with "General Goring" on it.
It is sometimes referred to as the second pattern as this unit was first issued with a cuff title (or cuff band) with "General Goring" on it, but this was when it was only a regiment.
When this unit was first formed in 1936 it was only a regiment and they wore a cuff band with General Goring on it. When the unit was expanded in 1942 from a regiment to a Brigade then to a Division the cuff band/ cuff title changed to "Hermann Goring".
History of the Hermann Goring cuff title:
- 1936 Unit is a regiment and wears a cuff title with "General Goring" on it.
- 1942 Unit is enlarged and becomes a Brigade then a Division when it changes the cuff title to "Hermann Goring" in Gothic Script text.
- Mid to late war the Division changes the style of the cuff title of "Hermann Goring" to Latin text.
This German WW2 Luftwaffe Hermann Goring cuff title has silver grey lettering with a silver grey band above and below the lettering on a dark navy blue wool background.
Part of the Richard Underwood Militaria range.
