Heer M43 Wool Tunic Late War Colour By RUM No Badges
Heer Felbluse 1943. German Army M43 tunic. Un-badged.
The German Army wool tunic was again modified and simplified in 1943.
The model 1943 felbluse tunic can be identified by the straight pocket flaps which the previous models do not have. The M43 was modified from the M42 felbluse so it does not have any of the earlier tunic features like the dark green collar or the vertical centre pleat on each front pocket of the M36 tunic. Original M43 tunics can be found in various colours, this one is made in the late war dark wool colour which was also used on the M44 felbluse.
This quality replica by Richard Underwood Militaria follows the design of the original M43 tunic worn by the Heer.

The Richard Underwood German Army Model 1943 felbluse has the following details:
- Plain collar (no green wool covering like on the M36 tunic).
- Small metal hook and loop closure on collar.
- 3 buttons on the inside of the collar to attach the collar band, collar band is not included.
- Plain pockets (no centre pleat down the middle of each pocket).
- Pocket flaps are cut straight.
- Lower are bellows but are a simplified designed so the sides are not boxed shaped.
- 6 button front closure, in May 26 1941 the army circular HM 41 No. 558 ordered the addition of a sixth button. The sixth button was only added to the Heer M43 tunics, the SS M43 tunics stayed with 5 buttons.
- Shoulder boards with Infantry white piping.
- The back of the collar is backed with linen cloth and is stitched with a zigzag pattern to strengthen the collar.
- The sleeve cuffs can be tightened/adjusted by two buttons.
- Lining is now made from sateen rather than cotton like on the M36.
- 4 sets of eyelet holes for belt hooks, two sets on the front and two sets on the back. Each set has 3 vertical eyelets.
Internally there are 4 webbing straps with 4 eyelets at the end of each strap which match up to the eyelets on the tunic for the belt hooks. - Internal suspenders are no longer used so there are no provisions for them on the inside.
- Late war, dark colour.
