This set represents a late war German Soldier serving in an Infantry Grenadier regiment from Normandy to the Ardennes and finally the Defence of Germany.
He would have been equipped with the MP-44 assault rifle which he carries the ammo in the canvas Magazine MP44 pouches, his equipment is a mix of Canvas and leather as basic raw materials were getting hard to find in this late stage of the war

He is also carrying a late war folding shovel and the simplified M1944 Bread bag with a green covered waterbottle with a plastic cup plus green painted mess tins hang from the bread bag . The gas mask tin now has the Gas cape strapped around it for convenience using some straps he has cobbled together from discarded kit
The Belt Buckle has been paint green so as not to shine and give his postion away to a sniper.
